Ivo Dukic is a Consultant Urological surgeon with specialist interests in endourology, general urology and health informatics.
He qualified from the University of St Andrews and the University of Manchester and has completed his specialist urology training in hospitals around the Manchester region (North Western Deanery). He completed a post CCT fellowship in endourology and laparoscopic renal surgery at North Bristol NHS Trust.
He promotes quality, safety and research in healthcare through the use of technology and has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Informatics through The University of Edinburgh. He is a sub-editor of the Digital Review section of Urology News and regular writes and prepares technology related articles in urological surgery.
This includes investigation and management of urinary tract symptoms, blood in the urine, kidney stones, urinary tract infections, prostate enlargement, prostatitis, prostate cancer diagnostics, and problems with the foreskin or testicles.
Ivo specialises in the management of stones in the kidney or ureter (tube draining the kidney). Treatment is tailored towards individual patient preferences relating to disease status. He regularly performs ureteroscopies and percutaneous nephro-lithotomy and offers extra-corporeal shock wave lithotripsy.
Ivo is the sub-editor of Urology News Digital Review section, and an avid proponent of using technology within urology.
